Adaptics
|
|
Adaptics, Inc, develops and licenses state-of-the-art software for modeling complex dynamic systems from empirical data. This was achieved for linear time-invariant systems with unknown feedback in 1992, using powerful statistical methods for selection of the model state order. This automated model identification has been used in automated adaptation to changing systems for adaptive control in aircraft wing flutter, controlling for changes and failures in pulp and paper cogeneration boilers, for modeling, control, and failure detection in numerous chemical processes, and numerous other applications. Recently these methods have been extended to time and parameter varying systems, e.g., developing a single model of aircraft wing flutter over a complete operating region of various speed and altitude combinations from data collected at only a few such operating point combinations. Such methods have been further refined to include general polynomial bilinear multivariable systems that are universal approximators of nonlinear systems with continuous input/output maps. These systems include nonlinear chemical processes, high angle-of-attack aero- and hydrodynamics , rotocraft and turbine engines, automotive engines over operating condition changes of engine speed, fuel flow, and torque. Stop by our exhibit to discuss your current challenges and opportunities in modeling, diagnosing, and controlling complex systems from empirical data.
